GOVERNANCE

YEP is a Non-Profit Organisation that was founded in 2011 and is registered under the Non-Profit-Organisations Act, 2019.
​
YEP is also registered under NAECOB, the organisation responsible for registering and accrediting primary schools, secondary schools, post-secondary schools and any institution or provider that offers training in The Bahamas.

YEP is managed by a Board of Directors and an Administrative staff consisting of a President & CEO, an Administrative team and District Managers that oversee the day to day operations of the Program and its activities.
​
Our Board meets monthly to review the achievement of our mission, to set policy and ensure that proper ethical governance standards are being followed, and that the organization is effectively managed.
As a requirement of the Government of the Bahamas, the Youth Empowerment Program is sanctioned by the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology.
