YEP’s Highest Honor

 

The Student of the Year is the most prestigious recognition a student can earn in the Youth Empowerment Program (YEP), a symbol of outstanding achievement, leadership, and commitment.

 

Each program year, five exceptional students from every YEP District are nominated for this coveted title. Nominees are selected based on their attendance, active participation in YEP activities, fulfillment of dues, and exemplary attitude toward the program. These top contenders then face a rigorous selection process, which includes a comprehensive awards examination and an in-depth interview with an independent panel of judges.

 

The winner is rewarded with an incredible prize package, including:

    •    A four-year scholarship 

    •    A brand-new laptop computer

    •    A color printer

    •    A prestigious Student of the Year trophy

 

Beyond the awards, the Student of the Year carries the honor of serving as YEP’s official ambassador and spokesperson, representing the program with pride, inspiring peers, and being a role model for youth across the nation.

 

This title is more than an award, it’s a legacy.
